Terms of Service
The agreement for using Weka Sawa.
Last updated 25 September 2026
Agreement
By creating an account or using Weka Sawa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Weka Sawa is provided by Ubunifu Technologies, Tanzania.
What Weka Sawa is, and is not
Weka Sawa is a record-keeping and reconciliation tool for mobile-money agents. It is not a bank, a payment processor, or a mobile-money operator, and it does not give financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. It never holds, moves, or has access to your money. Commission figures are estimates from rates you enter; your provider’s statement is what they pay.
Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password safe, and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
Businesses and your team
The owner of a business controls it: who has access, its plan, and its links with other businesses. If you own a business, you are responsible for the people you give access to, and for ending access that should end.
An owner can hand the business to someone who has access to it; once they accept, it is theirs with everything in it. If an owner cannot sign in, Weka Sawa may move the business to someone who shows documents that they own it, after telling the owner and waiting at least a week so they can object.
Your records and their accuracy
The figures in Weka Sawa are the ones you and your staff enter. Weka Sawa helps you find differences and stay in balance, but it cannot guarantee what is entered. You remain responsible for your cash, your e-float, your balances and shortfalls, and any tax or regulatory reporting.
Links and float requests
A link lets an agent business ask its super agent for e-float. Each business records its own side. The hand-over of float and money happens between the two businesses, outside Weka Sawa, and Weka Sawa is not a party to it.
Acceptable use
Use Weka Sawa only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to help fraud or money laundering, do not try to break or abuse the service or reach other people’s data, and do not use it to store or share unlawful content.
Free trial, plans, and payment
You choose the plan when you add a business. An owner’s first business starts with a 30-day free trial of the plan they choose, and they can switch plans during the trial. No payment details are needed.
After that, each business needs a paid plan. Payment is manual: you pay by bank transfer or mobile money to the details on your Plan page, send us the transaction reference, and we activate the plan, usually the same day.
Prices are shown on the Plan page and may change; we will give notice first. Fees paid are not refundable except where the law requires. When a plan ends, the business becomes read-only: you can still read your records and close an open shift, but nothing new can be recorded until the plan is renewed. We may give a business more time where we see fit.
Availability
We work to keep Weka Sawa available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Ubunifu Technologies is not liable for any loss of money, profit, or data, or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of Weka Sawa, including any shortfall, mistaken entry, or reconciliation difference. Weka Sawa is a tool to help you; responsibility for your money stays with you.
Ending your use
You can stop using Weka Sawa at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or are used unlawfully.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Weka Sawa means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
